Doing a Thing

It's the end of a season! We talk about what is considered a successful conclusion to a project, what we should focus on next, and how to avoid burnout by hyping ourselves up regarding our upcoming vacations!

The first ever guest interview has been completed. Carlos González de Villaumbrosia, Founder and CEO of Product School joins us in sharing his behind-the-scenes struggles, experiences writing The Product Book, on how we should fulfill a problem space first and think about things like monetization later.

We're debating different episode formats: interviews, solo episodes, or purely behind-the-scenes? Thoughts?! We also talk about post-EDC festival vibes, and not having learned anything recently...

Helen is so annoying to listen to... listen to her use terms such as "metrics", "low-hanging fruit", "p0 work items". Also, should Sefunmi cancel his vacation to work on "Doing a thing"?

Still more rambling about the podcast and what platform we need to prioritize for our listeners now that it is released. We talk more about writing articles and question if the book needs be the final goal of this project.

Cue further rambling about actual podcast set-up and scheduling. Sefunmi shares one of his anxieties. We try to figure out the difference in audience between all of these things we're doing... to no avail.

We continue to struggle to meet our goals but rather than being driven by deadlines, we decide to find the best ways that work for us to get things done effectively. Another plan is created to determine how to synthesize the interviews that have been done so far. Helen also shares her experience doing another thing with a friend.

We fell off from our weekly meetings and now we are trying to find a consistent way to work towards our goal. We discuss the challenges we have had so far while doing this thing and talk through ways to mitigate blockers. Lastly, we discuss how to MVP this book.
