Stop Error At The Airport (Take 2)

7/3/2018
More
I'm killing time at the airport and I see that there is a stop error on one of the screens displaying flight information. Stop error is often confused with the blue screen of death, or bsod. they are not the same, stop errors wow problematic are not necessarily fatal to your machine. Stop errors are often caused by driver incompatibilities or errors in memory when accessing or reaccessing a specific piece of hardware.

6/17/2018
More
Windows has a built-in method for cleaning out unnecessary files how to free up hard drive space, it's called "Disk Cleanup". But disk cleanup has a lot of options, and you may not know which boxes to check; nothing to do here is really going to wreck your computer, but when you're trying to get rid of temporary files and don't want to delete something that might be useful in the future it's good to know what the different boxes mean.

Connecting To An NFS Share For A Visual FoxPro Application

6/11/2018
More
m -o file access=777 timeout=4 \\IP ADDRESS\DIRECTORY [drive letter]: So, I have to support a legacy visual-foxpro application and a Amazon WorkSpaces (AWS) environment that relies on a NFS file share. Creating A "Virtual NAS" Using An AWS File Share

6/10/2018
More
I need to create a network accessible file share for my local pc and two Amazon workspaces to access. I found instructions online, and even a video, but they didn't cover everything. So here I go though creating an S3 bucket, setting up and EC2 instance, creating the file gateway, setting up the file share, and then connecting to it with a drive letter on Windows using NFS. With AWS (Amazon Web Services) this is all possible, and not even too hard to do; it just took a while to figure out...

6/8/2018
More
One of the internal applications that we use is Alfresco Community Edition. I looked in the Apache Tomcat log files had accumulated over the last year and were taking up over a 180GB worth space! YouTube Videos Show Up Black, Though Audio Plays

6/4/2018
More
You know the issue where YouTube video will play, and you see the progress bar going, and you can even hear stuff, but the video box is just black? It's weird because if you move your mouse along the progress for the video it'll even show you the little snapshot preview. I tried a couple things that didn't work, and then one that did to fix my playback issue. Spoiler alert, I had to clear the browser data.
