This episode the Conquistabores stay in London, this time checking out NXT TakeOver London! Thats right, we're talking Finn Balor and Hug Era Bayley and loads of crowd chants and some other folk who are no longer with the company. Does this show from the NXT golden era still stand up? Or has the lustre now been lost somewhat since the heady days of 2016? And yes, despite Al's protests this does count as a retro show so lets go for it! What better way to celebrate the upcoming crowing of a new monarch that with this show; not only does it have the word Royal in the title but also is for a Royal Trophy! Alright, its essentially a fancy tea pot but its a Royal one so it counts. Anyways, we're back to early 90s WWF which means plenty of neon in the crowd and gimmicks all over the place. Euan, Cam, Phil and Hot Sauce Geordie AL (when he shows up) are ready to go through this show top to bottom will confirm just how Royal it is. By Royal do we mean terrible? I mean, maybe? After the sheer joy of the No Holds Barred watch along from last week, what better way to follow up than with SummerSlam 1989? I mean, anything without Zeus probably would have been a good shout but that literally isn't how it works around these parts; we have to embrace the nonsense of The Human Wrecking Machine, enjoy his growling and dive right into the Cauldron of Madness.
