We discuss some recent offers on Today's BWI Live Recruiting show, but we'll mainly focus on the top players the team has scheduled for official visits this summer. Join the show at 10 a.m. on YouTube, or check out the replay embedded in this article. If you want to get access to the premium recruiting news, including comprehensive lists of which players plan to visit Penn State for official visits this summer, subscribe to Blue White Illustrated. Penn State recruiting news update Penn State's quest for top receiver talent has expanded to span the nation. This week St. Louis native Core Simms announced that he's taking an official visit to Happy Valley in June. Join the show to learn more about his fit with the team and how 2025 is turning out to be a battle between the Nittany Lions and Missouri. Can Penn State land the 6-3 pass-catcher? But for today's main topic we look at the offensive recruiting board to understand which players sit atop the priority list. Penn State's official visitor list for June is saturated with high four-star talent that could help change the perception and ranking of the team's recruiting class. We'll discuss which players are most important among that group and what Penn State's chances are of landing that talent. Finally, recruiting insider Ryan Snyder recaps the major events and storylines of April. How unusual was it for Penn State to have a down recruiting list at the Blue-White Game? What were the highs and lows of the month? Drafted players as prospects Finally, we end the show recapping the 2024 NFL Draft the only way that the Recruiting Show knows how; has prospects. Snyder and Blue Whit Illustrated Publisher Sean Fitz discuss the team's eight drafted players' Penn State recruiting stories and what led them to the team. We'll review their prospect composite ranking, the main points of their recruiting story, and how the team landed them. Check out the show to revisit three-star Olu Fashanu's recruitment and how he went from an unremarkably-ranked prospect into a top pick in the draft. Also, learn how one phone call changed the trajectory of Daequan Hardy's Penn State recruiting story after his senior season championship game performance. All of that, and more on today's BWI Live Recruiting Show! #PennState #NittanyLions JOIN Blue White Illustrated: https://www.on3.com/teams/penn-state-nittany-lions/join/?plan=annual SUBSCRIBE to Blue White Illustrated on YouTube and enable alerts - new highlights and videos uploaded regularly: https://www.youtube.com/c/bluewhiteillustratedvideo?sub_confirmation Bookmark our homepage: https://www.on3.com/teams/penn-state-nittany-lions/ Subscribe to BWI Magazine and Newsletters: https://bluewhiteonline.com Download our podcasts: https://cms.megaphone.fm/channel/LRL3155877513?selected=DSVV2664982394 Like us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/BlueWhiteIllustrated/ Follow us on Twitter https://twitter.com/PennStateOn3 Sound effects obtained from https://www.zapsplat.com Learn more about your ad choices. What Happened to Penn State Cornerback Kalen King? | NFL Draft Discussion

5/1/2024
Subscribe to Blue White Illustrated on YouTube: https://bit.ly/3KzEcqK Check out the site too! - https://bit.ly/3u8dilD Eight Penn State Nittany Lions were drafted in the 2024 NFL Draft over the weekend. On today’s show, we’ll revisit where each player landed and what sort of situation they find themselves in at the next level. However, one player is probably more controversial than the rest regarding his decisions over the last year. So, what happened to Kalen King? The former second-team All-American fell to the seventh round, just three picks from the final selection in the draft. We’ll discuss the factors that led to his draft stock falling, and what situation he finds himself in with the Green Bay Packers. We’ll also discuss the players whose stock is up after spring football for the Penn State Nittany Lions. Which players did the most to move their needle in the correct direction? We’ll give you some of the names we selected. But on the flip side, who is sliding back into the pack? We’ll highlight specific players who need an adjustment in fan expectations. Join the BWI Live Show today at 10 a.m. on YouTube! It’s a great time to subscribe to Blue White Illustrated, and fans of the show get an extra month to try out the site for just one dollar! Penn State draft recap King wasn’t the only fascinating player from the NFL Draft this past weekend. We’ll review each player’s fit with their new teams and discuss how they mesh at the next level. For one, Olu Fashanu fits very well with the New York Jets on the field. On the flip side of organizational stability from the Chiefs is the New York Jets. From a schematic and developmental fit, Penn State tackle Olu Fashanu fits very well within the Jets program as the tackle of the future behind Tyron Smith. He’ll get to learn from a Hall of Fame mentor and work on his run-game skills until he gets called into the starting lineup. Check out the rest of our best fits here. Best Fits: https://www.on3.com/teams/penn-state-nittany-lions/news/best-penn-state-player-fits-after-the-2024-nfl-draft/ Spring practice risers and fallers Finally, we tie up loose ends from Penn State spring football with a look at the players who made moves. Which players are on the rise? Which players are slipping back. Here’s a snippet of what we discussed on today’s show. Confidence and strength are sometimes hard to tell apart in the growth of an offesnive lineman. Last season, Vega Ioane played well for a redshirt freshman, but he didn’t show the dominance his 6-4, 350-pound profile hinted at. He was a good lineman with quick feet but didn’t necessarily play fast. Fast forward to this spring, and we saw a different player. Ioane looked leaner and more confident in his movement. Notably he was looking for work instead of looking lost in pass protection during the Blue-White Game. #PennState #NittanyLions JOIN Blue White Illustrated: https://www.on3.com/teams/penn-state-nittany-lions/join/?plan=annual SUBSCRIBE to Blue White Illustrated on YouTube and enable alerts - new highlights and videos uploaded regularly: https://www.youtube.com/c/bluewhiteillustratedvideo?sub_confirmation Bookmark our homepage: https://www.on3.com/teams/penn-state-nittany-lions/ Subscribe to BWI Magazine and Newsletters: https://bluewhiteonline.com Download our podcasts: https://cms.megaphone.fm/channel/LRL3155877513?selected=DSVV2664982394 Like us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/BlueWhiteIllustrated/ Follow us on Twitter https://twitter.com/PennStateOn3 Sound effects obtained from https://www.zapsplat.com Learn more about your ad choices. Wrestling Show: Breaking: Penn State loses wrestler for 2024 season | U20 US Open Recap

4/30/2024
Penn State wrestler Terrell Barraclough has entered the NCAA transfer portal, a source confirmed to Blue-White Illustrated. The Wrestling Room founder Pat Mineo first reported the news. Barraclough, who is from Kaysville, Utah, is in as a graduate transfer. He has one season of eligibility remaining. Barraclough’s decision to move on is not a shock. He has been a tremendous teammate while operating mostly in a backup capacity during his time in blue and white. He was 12-2 in 2023-2024 but competed in just three dual meets, where he was 2-1. Throughout his time at Penn State, he has been flexible with his weight, filling in at both 165 and 174 pounds when needed. His most dual meet matches in one year came in 2021-2022, when he was in seven of them and went 7-8 on the year including a near upset of Nebraska star Peyton Robb. Barraclough is the first Penn State wrestler to hit the portal since the 2023-2024 season ended. He may not be the last. Wrestlers have until May 3 to enter the portal and still be eligible next season. We also discuss the U20 US Open this past weekend. Here are the discussion points for today's show. Penn State had three Class of 2024 champions in Luke Lilledahl, Zack Ryder, and Connor Mirasola. Lilleadahl was the outstanding wrestler of the tournament. Can any compete in year one with the Lions? -Class of 2025 commit PJ Duke won a title as well. And Penn State had numerous top eight finishers. –Braeden Davis competed at 61 kilograms (133 pounds). Sign of a future weight change or something else? –Josh Barr wrestled well. IS he ready for the starting lineup? Learn more about your ad choices. Visit megaphone.fm/adchoices

BWI Live: How Penn State first round picks Olu Fashanu and Chop Robinson fit with the Jets, Dolphins

As predicted, left tackle Olu Fashanu went in the top half of round on to the New York Jets, while defensive end Chop Robinson found his new home with the Miami Dolphins. On today’s BWI Live Show, Penn State film analyst Thomas Frank Carr discusses what each player brings to their new teams and how they fit in. Join the show at 10 am on YouTube or check out the video on the site. Penn State players find near-perfect fits at next level Not only has T-Frank watched these two players closely for the last several seasons of Penn State football, he’s also a diehard Buffalo Bills fan and has a good understanding of the AFC East dynamics that both players step into at the next level. Here’s what he had to say about Fashanu’s fit with the Jets. Jets head coach Robert Saleh is the former defensive coordinator for the San Francisco 49ers and brought a similar offensive system to New York. The team relies heavily on the popular outside zone running scheme in the NFL, which Penn State used last season under former OC Mike Yurcich. Not every zone scheme is run the same way, but most rely on athletic offensive linemen working in tandem to steal gaps from the defense in a lateral fashion. Fashanu’s athleticism and movement skills make him a great fit for this scheme, allowing him to play with speed and burst off the football. But Fashanu’s real value is as a pass protector. Find out what he is good at and how he can help unlock a new level of offense for the Jets. Chop Robinson can flourish in Miami Typically, defnses like this ask its edge defenders to play upfield and attack the run with speed, rather than control of a gap. While Robinson isn’t an aggressive run defender from a contact standpoint, he’s incredibly effective at getting upfield and shedding blocks in space to create negative plays and bubble runs to his side. In all situations, his athleteicism has a chance to shine. Find out how the Dolphin’s organizational philosophy also should help Robinson become the best version of himself. #PennState #NittanyLions JOIN Blue White Illustrated: https://www.on3.com/teams/penn-state-nittany-lions/join/?plan=annual SUBSCRIBE to Blue White Illustrated on YouTube and enable alerts - new highlights and videos uploaded regularly: https://www.youtube.com/c/bluewhiteillustratedvideo?sub_confirmation Bookmark our homepage: https://www.on3.com/teams/penn-state-nittany-lions/ Subscribe to BWI Magazine and Newsletters: https://bluewhiteonline.com Download our podcasts: https://cms.megaphone.fm/channel/LRL3155877513?selected=DSVV2664982394 Like us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/BlueWhiteIllustrated/ Follow us on Twitter https://twitter.com/PennStateOn3 Sound effects obtained from https://www.zapsplat.com Learn more about your ad choices. 4/25/2024
Subscribe to Blue White Illustrated on YouTube: https://bit.ly/3KzEcqK Check out the site too! - https://bit.ly/3u8dilD thanks to our sponsor: myperfectfranchise.net Where Penn State needs to make up ground in the 2025 recruiting cycle after spring practice visits: https://www.on3.com/teams/penn-state-nittany-lions/news/where-penn-state-football-needs-to-make-up-ground-2025-recruiting-class-following-spring-practice/ The Penn State Nittany Lions recruiting class of 2025 is halfway filled, heading into a critical stretch of official visits in June. While we wait for the flurry of activity this summer, we're resetting the class on today's BWI Live Recruiting Show. What's happened to get Penn State to this point so far? Where does this group stack up to the standard the recruiting staff has set over time? Recruiting insider Ryan Snyder is here to discuss that and the latest news from the Penn State football recruiting trail. Join the show at 10 am on YouTube, or check out the show embedded in this article. Want to make sure you get the latest on Penn State recruiting? Join Blue White Illustrated and get premium content access. Penn State playing the waiting game? The Blue-White Game has come and gone with no additional commitments to the program. With April finishing up official visits starting at the end of next month, what is the recruiting staff up to? Snyder discusses what Penn State head coach James Franklin and his staff are up to this time of year and the next landmarks for recruiting. Are we all collectively waiting for official visits for the next phase of movement? We'll discuss that, plus the latest Penn State recruiting news from the past week. Where the class needs to make up ground Earlier this week, Snyder outlined where he thinks that the Penn State staff needs to make up ground in this cycle. Which positions stand out? We'll discuss the differences in these positions compared to the rest of the assembled 12-person class. Speaking of that class, we'll do a quick reset on the group of committed players. With a large chunk of the class committing early in the process, it's a good time to remind Penn State fans which players the team already has in the room. More official visits scheduled Finally, Snyder has been working hard to confirm which players plan to visit Penn State this summer for official visits. He's confirmed several new players, including wide receiver Corey Simms, defensive lineman Yvan Kemajou, cornerback Graceson Littleon and tight end Brody Lennon. Learn more about those players and their stories on today's show. #PennState #NittanyLions JOIN Blue White Illustrated: https://www.on3.com/teams/penn-state-nittany-lions/join/?plan=annual SUBSCRIBE to Blue White Illustrated on YouTube and enable alerts - new highlights and videos uploaded regularly: https://www.youtube.com/c/bluewhiteillustratedvideo?sub_confirmation Bookmark our homepage: https://www.on3.com/teams/penn-state-nittany-lions/ Subscribe to BWI Magazine and Newsletters: https://bluewhiteonline.com Download our podcasts: https://cms.megaphone.fm/channel/LRL3155877513?selected=DSVV2664982394 Like us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/BlueWhiteIllustrated/ Follow us on Twitter https://twitter.com/PennStateOn3 Sound effects obtained from https://www.zapsplat.com Assessing the Penn State Recruiting Class of 2025 before official visits Learn more about your ad choices. BWI Live: Post-Spring Penn State Football Positional Review

4/24/2024
Subscribe to Blue White Illustrated on YouTube: https://bit.ly/3KzEcqK Check out the site too! - https://bit.ly/3u8dilD We're still assessing the results of spring football for the Penn State Nittany Lions on today's show. After six weeks of practice and the Blue-White Game, where do players stand within their position heading into the summer months of player-led training? We're looking at the key positions heading out of spring football on today's BWI Live. Join the show at 10 am on YouTube or check out the replay here, embedded in this article. Penn State offensive breakdown There's little change with the team's top two positions on offense. Quarterback Drew Allar played the majority of the team's starting reps, with backup Beau Pribula taking two series with the top offensive line and receivers. But what about the position battle at running back? Penn State's young players put on a show this spring, and despite missing time, freshman Quinton Martin showed impressive skill in the Blue-White Game. We'll discuss where the battle for the third running back spot is between Martin and Cam Wallace. Unlike running back, wide receiver is a much messier and more complicated picture. Why was transfer Julian Fleming on the Blue Team? What can we make of the team's performance from this spring? We'll discuss how Penn State has generally used its wide receivers from a positional perspective and then discuss how a team makes them positionless within an offense. Tight End gives an incomplete picture How Penn State plans to use its tight ends is very different than what we saw during the Blue-White Game. However, we have some clues about where the competition stands on Saturday for the backup job to starter Tyler Warren. Finally, we'll try to explain how Penn State used its offensive linemen, specifically in relation to freshman Cooper Cousins. Will he play center or guard this year and what led to him starting at right guard during the Blue-White Game? We'll dive into the offensive line performance from this spring. Penn State Defense Lastly, we'll look at the Penn State defense and what sort of competition the team has at linebacker and cornerback. Will the team play just two linebackers this year? If so, how does veteran Dom DeLuca fit into that picture? We'll also discuss Ta'Mere Robinson's performance during the Blue-White game and where the defensive line will find room for five pass rushers in the lineup. Join the show today at 10 am to hear all of that and more! #PennState #NittanyLions JOIN Blue White Illustrated: https://www.on3.com/teams/penn-state-nittany-lions/join/?plan=annual SUBSCRIBE to Blue White Illustrated on YouTube and enable alerts - new highlights and videos uploaded regularly: https://www.youtube.com/c/bluewhiteillustratedvideo?sub_confirmation Bookmark our homepage: https://www.on3.com/teams/penn-state-nittany-lions/ Subscribe to BWI Magazine and Newsletters: https://bluewhiteonline.com Download our podcasts: https://cms.megaphone.fm/channel/LRL3155877513?selected=DSVV2664982394 Like us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/BlueWhiteIllustrated/ Follow us on Twitter https://twitter.com/PennStateOn3 Sound effects obtained from https://www.zapsplat.com Post-Spring Penn State Football Positional Review Learn more about your ad choices. BWI Live: How has Penn State disrupted a transfer portal exodus? Post-Spring football fallout

4/23/2024
Subscribe to Blue White Illustrated on YouTube: https://bit.ly/3KzEcqK Check out the site too! - https://bit.ly/3u8dilD The Penn State Nittany Lions are out of spring football and things are quiet around the football program. That's a surprise, given the transfer portal opened last week. What is causing Penn State's retention over the last two portal cycles despite having a glut of talented players at premium positions? On today's show, we'll discuss how Penn State head coach James Franklin and his staff are accomplishing that retention. Join the BWI Live show at 10 am on YouTube or catch the show embedded in this article. Want to stay on top of team news and information this summer? Subscribe to the BWI YouTube channel so you don't miss any live shows, recruiting commitments or breaking news. Penn State recruiting update However, we'll start today's show with a quick recruiting update from Penn State recruiting insider Sean Fitz. He's recapping the latest on Penn State recruiting from the weekend. Find out the latest on defensive end target Adam Shovlin, and a new national wide receiver target who scheduled an official visit to Penn State this summer. Portal recap and spring assesment Today's main topic surrounds the NCAA Transfer portal. So far, Penn State's roster remains intact, with only two players leaving the program. So how has Franklin and his staff kept a talented and deep team together when the opportunity to see more playing time or money is out there? Fitz and senior editor Nate Bauer discuss Penn State's portal activity and how this is unfolding. Yet the portal is a two-way door. Are the Nittany Lions on the cusp of adding talent from other programs? We'll detail what our insiders know about the situation. Next, we'll recap the spring football period with Fitz's articles on players whose stock is rising. Which players stood out among their peers in spring practice? Fitz gave five players on offense and defense over the last several days. He'll discuss the most interesting players on today's show. Bauer has new information on the team's linebacker depth situation. How did things shake out this spring with Ta'Mere Robinson and Kaveion Keys? Can Penn State manufacture depth before the start of the spring? Join the show to find out more. BWI Mailbag Finally, we'll open up the BWI mailbag. Got a question on your mind? You can ask the experts! Join the live chat and drop your question for Fitz and Bauer. On the BWI Live Recruiting Show, we discuss who showed and who didn't at the Penn State spring game. Join the show today at 10 am on YouTube or catch it on replay embedded here in this article. Andrew Olesh Top schools But first, another top prospect included Penn State in his final list of schools this week. Pennsylvania native and top tight end target Andrew Olshes named his top eight schools this week. We'll discuss who made the cut and which programs present the biggest threat to the Lions. After losing a top in-state target to Missiouri in quarterback Matt Zollers, Penn State fans are likely nervous about the 79th overall player in 2025 bolting the state. So, what’s the difference between the two players? Industry insiders Ryan Snyder and Sean Fitz discuss that, plus your questions on the subject. We’re also at the end of spring football so there’s another shift in the recruiting calendar. What is on the plate of the Penn State recruiting staff this month? Snyder and Fitz discuss where we are in the recruiting cycle and what comes next. Penn State Spring Visit Recap Finally, we’ll recap what players visited the program this past weekend for the Blue-White Game. Penn State hosted most of its committed prospects and several notable players. So how did the list turn out? And what other factors led to the attendance? Snyder has spoken with several players who made the trip to a windy Beaver Stadium and will discuss the conversations that left an impression on him. Finally, we’ll discuss notable topics from the last week in Penn State recruiting. The team has three running backs committed to the program so far in this cycle. But could they add another? Snyder wrote about that potentiality and will discuss it on today’s show. We’ll also dedicate a show segment to the offensive line. Is there a new crop of linemen separating themselves from the pack? There’s a fresh batch of players on the Penn State radar who we’ll break down today including Nolan Davenport, Michael Gibbs and Carter Scruggs. Subscribe to Blue White Illustrated on YouTube: https://bit.ly/3KzEcqK Check out the site too! - https://bit.ly/3u8dilD The Penn State Nittany Lions Football team closed spring camp on Saturday with the Blue-White Game in front of a smattering of fans. With high winds dominating the conversation in the stadium, what can we take away from the weekend performance? We're discussing the players that stood out, plus the interesting things that Penn State did that shaped the scrimmage on Saturday. Join the BWI Live show today at 10 am on YouTube, or check out the replay embedded in this article. For regulars of the show, we'll be moving back to our in-season schedule moving forward with live shows on Tuesday and Thursday and our pre-recorded show on Wednesday. The best way to stay up-to-date with changes, breaking news and videos is to subscribe to the Blue White Illustrated YouTube channel. Penn State offensive and defensive scheme notes While a good chunk of Saturday's game was vanilla on both sides of the football, Penn State still showed some interesting wrinkles. Both defensive coordinator Tom Allen and offensive coordinator Andy Kotelnicki gave us a glimpse of different aspects of their new schemes. We'll discuss the level of aggression Allen showed during the scrimmage and what Kotelnicki did and didn't do during the 48 minutes of game action. We'll also discuss the situation at receiver and which players stood out during the team's passing plays. Did we get a sense of who will fill in for KeAndre Lambert-Smith among the team's wideouts? We'll discuss Trey Wallace's performance and that of Kaden Saunders and Liam Clifford. Finally, we'll discuss the quarterbacks, Drew Allar's performance, and how to gauge what we learned about them during a windy day. Penn State running back competition continues Penn State's top running backs, Nick Singleton and Kaytron Allen, didn't play during the Blue-White game. That means we got an extended look at freshman Quinton Martin and redshirt freshman Cam Wallace. We'll discuss what those two players showed us on Saturday and how competitive the third running back competition will be this summer and fall. #PennState #NittanyLions JOIN Blue White Illustrated: https://www.on3.com/teams/penn-state-nittany-lions/join/?plan=annual SUBSCRIBE to Blue White Illustrated on YouTube and enable alerts - new highlights and videos uploaded regularly: https://www.youtube.com/c/bluewhiteillustratedvideo?sub_confirmation Bookmark our homepage: https://www.on3.com/teams/penn-state-nittany-lions/ Subscribe to BWI Magazine and Newsletters: https://bluewhiteonline.com Download our podcasts: https://cms.megaphone.fm/channel/LRL3155877513?selected=DSVV2664982394 Like us on Facebook https://www.facebook.com/BlueWhiteIllustrated/ Follow us on Twitter https://twitter.com/PennStateOn3 Sound effects obtained from https://www.zapsplat.com Who Stood out in the Penn State Blue-White Game? | Takeaways from Saturday Learn more about your ad choices. Finally, the dominoes regarding the transfer portal are about to fall in the coming days. Firstly, we'll discuss Penn State's scholarship limit and how NIL plays a new dynamic in what it has to do versus what might happen with player movement. The team lost key recruits from the region to top schools across the country at key positions, including quarterback and defensive tackle. So, what's going on with Penn State recruiting? Our industry experts at Blue White Illustrated have been following the team for nearly two decades and have seen this story before. Today on the BWI Live Recruiting Show, Sean Fitz and Ryan Snyder will discuss the bad, and the good of Penn State's Class of 2025. Finally, we'll preview the upcoming Blue-White Game recruiting list. Join the show at 10 am on YouTube or check out the video embedded in this article. It's a good time to subscribe to the BWI YouTube Channel so you don't miss any of our Blue-White Week content or breaking news. Penn State recruiting misses that sting On today's show, we'll discuss the team's recruiting efforts with Matt Zollers and Trent Wilson. The possible top quarterback in the Class of 2025 chose Missouri over the Nittany Lions last week. Then, the regional prospect at wide receiver Romero Ison visited USC and committed quickly afterward. Finally, top defensive tackle prospect Trent Wilson, who was trending to Penn State, made an about-face and committed to Oklahoma after one visit. So, what's going on? Our experts discuss the typical ups and downs of recruiting and what's expected at this point in the year. However, there's a new dynamic in recruiting now, which they'll discuss with several of Penn State's misses. However, it's not all bad news. Synder and Fitz will discuss the remaining players that Penn State can still sign this year. The team has several four-star targets that they can add over May, June and early July to form a respectable class. We'll discuss some of those names and players today. Will the team get a third running back? In fact, one of those players makes his decision on Thursday. Four-star Alabama running back Alvin Henderson will choose between Auburn and Penn State today. Where does the team stand? Join the show to find out. Blue-White Game preview Finally, the team hosts the annual Blue-White game this weekend, which is typically a great showcase game for the team's recruiting efforts. Is Penn State in line to get any commits this weekend? Who is coming to the game? Senior insiders Sean Fitz and Nate Bauer discuss their practice observations from Tuesday night and other topics from James Franklin's press conference afterwards. Specifically, we'll dive into Franklin's comments that he wants to make the Blue-White Game as competitive as possible for his Penn State team. In years past, coaches would split the group by the depth chart, with the third and fourth string on the White team and starters on the Blue squad. After four months without any football, every player might interest fans when they watch the two-hour scrimmage on Saturday. Yet we’ve tried to narrow the list down to five players on each side of the ball. Join us on today’s BWI Live Show to discuss who those players are. If you haven’t yet, today is a great day to subscribe to the Blue White Illustrated YouTube Channel. Penn State holds its final open practice of the spring period on Tuesday evening, so head coach James Franklin’s press conference comes to you tonight. We’ll also have great live content heading into the weekend on the BWI Live show. Join us at 10 am on Wednesday and Thursday as we review practice and the weekly recruiting news. Then, head to Nittany Cards Plus at 1631 South Atherton Street at 2 pm for our live Blue-White Game preview. All of that, plus player interviews and more from Blue White Illustrated! Penn State players we’re watching on offense and defense Check out the show for the full list of players we’re most interested in on defense. Or, you can read the article on which today’s show is based. Here’s a snippet from the defensive article about the player most fans want to see at his new position. https://www.on3.com/teams/penn-state-nittany-lions/news/five-penn-state-defensive-payers-we-want-to-see-during-the-blue-white-game/ It’s not just depth players who pique the interest of fans and media this year. We’re all about to see how Abdul Carter’s transition to defensive end is going. Another fan favorite this weekend is freshman center Cooper Cousins. The five-star lineman has caused a stir so far this offseason with his continually impressive performance. Simply put, Cousins is breaking the expectation curve for a freshman offensive lineman. Not only is he in a position to compete for playing time, but he’s also working for a starting job at center. Most linemen who play early find a role as a guard or maybe a tackle if they’re elite athletes. Cousins is taking on the dual challenge of a mentally taxing position and adjusting to college football. While it’ll be hard to gauge how he does for most fans during the game, we’ll follow up after with film breakdowns to highlight what we see. Where do Carter and Cousins rank? BWI Live: Decision day for top quarterback Matt Zollers | Will Penn State land in-state gem?

Four-star and top-three quarterback Matt Zollers will make his college decision on Thursday. The Pennsylvania native is choosing between the in-state Nittany Lions, Georiga, Missouri, and Pitt. Blue White Illustrated's recruiting experts, Sean Fitz and Ryan Snyder sit down on today's BWI Live Recruiting Show to discuss what might happen at 4 pm when Zollers announces his decision. Join the show live at 10 am or catch it on replay embedded in this article. As always, subscribe to the Blue White Illustrated YouTube Channel so you don't miss any breaking news, player interviews, and more! Penn State's final push for Zollers- Was it enough? Penn State made their final in-person pitch to Zollers last Friday, hoping to convince the four-star quarterback to join the class and stay in-state. We'll discuss how that trip went, our insiders' feedback, and what they think will happen when Zollers makes his announcement. We'll discuss the potentiality, impact of a commitment, and fallout of missing out on a top-50 player. But it's not just Zollers who made a decision this week. More recruiting news is bubbling with another high-value regional target this week. Four-star defensive tackle Trent Wilson narrowed his list of school down to four contenders this week. Snyder doesn't think the new bodes well for Penn State. We'll ask him why and what he thinks will happen with another top prospect on the Nittany Lions board this summer. Are official visits no longer an indication of interest? We'll also dedicate a show segment to an interesting question from a Blue White Illustrated message board member. The question was originally for the Mailbag show on Wednesday but was too good of a conversation to leave out of today's recruiting show. Now that official visits are an unlimited resource, do they still matter the same way? Are they an indicator of true interest or can players schedule a plethora of visits just to see different schools? Upcoming visits Finally, we'll end the segment by discussing the upcoming Happy Valley visitors during the penultimate spring football weekend. Our experts will explain why tackle Nolan Davenport, running back Marcello Vitti, linebacker Justin Hill, wide receiver Jacob Washington, and tight end Mack Sutter are interesting players to consider.
