We are thrilled to release a highly-anticipated update to the TuneIn Live skill for Alexa.
As of Today, TuneIn Premium subscribers can now link their subscriptions with the Alexa companion app and start listening to live sports play-by-play, commercial-free news and more. This means Premium subscribers are also no longer required to pay an additional cost to play premium content on Alexa devices.
When TuneIn first launched the Live skill in 2018, it was one of the first Alexa skills to use in-skill subscriptions via voice and the ecosystem was not able to accommodate both account linking and skill subscriptions. With the launch of this update, we are proud of the solution we’ve built with Amazon to deliver unrestricted premium content to our listeners.
