Elevate FM began October 13, 2014 after running a bluegrass music format eight years. Prior to that, for ten years, Elevate FM was known as “The J-FM” and played similar music to what we have now. Elevate FM plays what is known as a “hot adult contemporary/Christian hit radio” (a.k.a. Hot AC/CHR) music. Those artists include tobyMac, Skillet, Plumb, Britt Nicole, Needtobreathe, Switchfoot and a bunch of others. We run this awesome music around the clock, with the exception of live worship services from First Baptist Church in Murray (Sunday mornings at 11am) as well as Calloway County Laker Sports broadcasts during football and basketball seasons. We broadcast at 89.7 FM with 6,000 watts of power from Hardin, Kentucky in southern Marshall county. Our signal covers most of western Kentucky with us dipping down into parts of northwest Tennessee and on up to southern Illinois.
