When the Vessels Empty

Amelia lives a quiet life in an ancient village of immortals who call their bodies "vessels". The ships never get sick or injured. The food grown in the village satisfies their slight hunger. They can create anything they want with a power called "source". When the village became too crowded to eat, the elders would be called to the river and allowed to cross the river, but all voluntarily. Until the vessel began to become empty. First it was her mother. Then her father. Then the neighbours. Every month a boat was emptied and sent downstream across the border. After almost two years of her mother being Empty, her partner began to Empty. He told her a way to save him. Enter the woods, cross the border and find the source. To save her life partner she will kill her way through the woods to the boundary, then she will break the laws of the ship and cross the boundary without being summoned. Duration - 48m.
