An accurate diagnosis is critical to obtaining the right course of treatment; however, many traditional diagnoses are umbrella terms, not specific to the actual problem and may not be telling the whole story. What’s more is that being “diagnosed” with an illness, a disease or an injury can become a roadblock towards making forward progress and lead to hopelessness, fear, guilt and frustration.
